Feb. 11th – Advanced Hip-hop w/ Justice
Using an exciting mix of old-school and new-school choreography,
Justice focuses on timing and musicality within the framework of hip
hop, creating an environment that is inspiring, challenging and fun!
Be prepared for a warm up that includes the strength and endurance
training needed to execute intermediate to advanced hip hop movement at a
pace that adjusts to the needs of the students.
Feb. 18th – HiLo Dance w/ Denise:
If you’re looking for a heart-thumping, maximum energy workout to
rockin’ music with a dancing twist than HiLo-Dance is for you! This
class starts off with a low energy warm up and advances into a
multi-impact cardio challenge. Build your endurance with high energy,
fun choreography while burning the maximum calories in the least
amount of time. Everyone is guaranteed to have a great time and look

Feb. 25th – Fusion w/ Brenna:
Fusion is movement inspired by ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, and
hip hop. This class will focus on executing and experimenting with
moves through choreography while continuing to refine performance and
technical skills.
Seattle’s Lunar New Year Celebration – Saturday, February 9th – Splinter will be performing at 11:45am on the Main Stage, at the corner of S. King St and Maynard Ave. Festivities are happening all day long from 11:00am – 4:00pm in and around Hing Hay Park ~ Chinatown! Come out and take part in the festivities!
Inspired by the season of giving and by our diverse Seattle community, Splinter would like to gift a short performance to THREE local-area non-profits (who cater to children or communities in need) in the month of December. Next up for Splinter, a little Holiday fun at the annual Providence Christmas Carnival! November 26th, 2012 at the Westin Seattle Ballroom, Westin Hotel, Downtown Seattle.
Come check it out – fun and activities for all ages, free and open to the public! Activities will be happening all day long (12-8pm), and Splinter will be performing twice throughout the evening – at 6:45 and again at 7:45 pm.
Bring the family, spread some holiday cheer, and keep your eyes peeled for Splinter!

4:30pm, open to the public, “pay-what-you-can” ~ Splinter will be showcasing it’s educational repertoire (both new and classic) with an hour-long show and artist Q&A afterward!

Splinter is so excited to share it’s message through dance this coming Friday evening, Oct. 12th, as part of the Arts & Social Change Symposium ~ happening this weekend at Seattle Center! Evening program starts at 6:30pm with a dessert reception, artist showcase begins at 7:30 at the Intiman Theater Playhouse.
The Arts & Social Change Symposium is “a regional symposium for arts administrators, artists, social service professionals, government representatives, and social justice leaders from around the Pacific Northwest. We will address the role that diverse arts play in creating awareness, inspiring understanding and developing policies to address cultural equity and social change.
It is an “inter-agency effort among Washington State Arts Commission/The Wallace Foundation, 4Culture, Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs, Seattle Center and Festál, Seattle Office for Civil Rights, and The Association of American Cultures, a national arts advocacy organization. Special thanks to the Boeing Company for their support.
